EID

I know posting an entry on Eid-ul Hajr 3 days after is such an insult to (well, my intelligence firstly as this further concludes I am that slow. Yes, I AM s.l.o.w.) the whole occasion itself, I think but some things just have to be given much thoughts into.

I realize, unlike the Eid-ul Fitr, the Hajr takes form in a much solemn note. I guess somehow or another the solemness of the Hajr has just got into me after watching the telecast on the pligrims performing their rites in the Holy Land on TV. The whole fad where they encircle the Ka'abah, and the gathering in the desert of Arafat, and where they do the stone throwing ritual in Mina, and to think that 2 million Muslims around the world, from all walks of life, filled with burgoening interest in the quest to fulfil one of the five pillars of Islam is so empowering a thought.

And all in the name of Sacrifice.

And to track back too, all the good religions of the world signify any form of sacrificials to a day of Sabbath too, for individual healing, meditation, or anything that brings them closer to their faith and I believe that to sacrifice for a good cause is godly.

I guess I won't be sacrificing my sleep already.
